Post-Doctoral Research in Spin and Molecular Electronics
The Center for Materials for Information Technology at the University of Alabama is seeking candidates for a Post Doctoral Position or Graduate Research Assistantship in the Theory of Spin Electronics. The MINT Center recently received its third Materials Research Science and Engineering Center Award from the National Science Foundation and is establishing a research program in spin electronics. Professor William H. Butler will direct the research that provides theoretical support for several experimental projects within the MINT Center and the MRSEC including transport in nanoscale CPP-GMR devices, spin-transfer effects, spin-dependent tunneling and molecular electronics.
